Hope Gouterman provides strategic legal solutions to her commercial real estate clients. Focused on real estate transactions, her clients include property owners, investors and developers in acquisition, financing, development and leasing matters locally and throughout the United States. She has experience representing lenders in the acquisition, construction and refinancing of multifamily housing and healthcare facilities, as well as national commercial lenders in FHA financing utilizing low-income housing tax credits.

Hope earned her law degree magna cum laude from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, along with a Certificate in Law and Public Policy. While in law school, Hope was a Lead Articles Editor of the Catholic University Law Review, a member of the Mock Trial Team, a Research and Symposium Assistant and a Teaching Assistant to Professor A.G. Harmon.  She also externed for the Honorable Andrea M. Leahy of the Appellate Court of Maryland, the U.S. Department of Justice, the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office and interned for the Maryland Office of the Public Defender.

Hope received her B.S. and M.Ed. from the University of Maryland and was Captain of the Varsity Women’s Soccer Team. Before attending law school, Hope taught for two years in a Title 1 elementary school and was the head coach for a high school varsity women’s soccer team, both in Montgomery County, Maryland.
