Working with clients to resolve their family law issues, Jenna Bouley maintains a strong sense of composure and authority to diffuse adversarial situations. Her clients note that she is always available and takes the time to explain issues and prepare them for each phase of their journey.

Jenna’s domestic relations practice includes divorce and custody litigation, child support, spousal support and property distribution. She also has experience in negotiating and drafting complex child custody and visitation agreements and marital settlement agreements.

While always seeking the most amiable path to resolution, Jenna is very comfortable in the courtroom and possesses tremendous oral advocacy skills. One client noted “When all hope was lost, when I had nobody to turn to, you came to my aid and fought my battle for me to be victorious. I am most grateful and do not think I will ever forget you in my life.”

Before joining private practice, Jenna served as clerk to the judges of the City of Alexandria Circuit Court from 2019 to 2021, reviewing hundreds of cases relating to family law and military divorces. She drafted legal memoranda and orders for the judges for both criminal and civil matters. After her clerkship, Jenna practiced as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Arlington County, working closely with victims and witnesses to understand the facts unique to each case and to explain and demystify the legal process. She gained significant experience with all aspects of criminal prosecution, which has allowed her to provide clients with greater insight into how criminal trials may affect their protective order cases.

Jenna graduated with a B.A. from American University and earned her law degree from the University of Richmond School Of Law. She is licensed to practice in Virginia. When not practicing law, Jenna enjoys spending time in the garden and watercolor painting, as well as hanging out with her cat and dog.
