On October 19, 2010, the Business Law Section will be presenting a Fall CLE on The Basics of Patent, Trademark and Copyright Law. Michael Greenberg of Greenberg and Lieberman, LLC and Karl Means of Shulman, Rogers, Gandal, Pordy & Ecker, P.A. will lead a discussion about patents and how to spot the need for one, as well as identifying and protecting trademark rights and copyrights. The goal of the program is to instill a basic understanding of patent, trademark, and copyright law so you can help your clients identify potential issues and preserve their intellectual property rights. This program is appropriate for any attorney who runs into intellectual property issues in his or her practice but does not have a basic understanding of intellectual property law. The program will be held at the Bar Building in Rockville, from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
