The Montgomery County Executive and the Planning Board are staking out their authority over: (1) planning, approving, designing and inspecting private roads; and (2) enabling owners and developers to use ownership lots for ownership and financings. The first County Council public hearing for “SRA-16-01” is scheduled for Tuesday, February 23, 2016. The outcome of the legislation could affect your existing and future urban and suburban projects.
Please join us. Learn how the legislation might allow the Planning Board to continue to approve private roads, but only according to certain design standards administrated by a separate government agency, the County’s Department of Transportation. Learn why ownership lots might become unworkable vehicles for facilitating ownership and financings, because of conflicting interpretations of other County laws.
