Clairvoyant Technologies, Inc. won second place in the StartRight! Women’s Business Plan Competition, presented at The Tower Companies in Rockville, MD on Thursday. The $5,000 award is sponsored by Shulman, Rogers, Gandal, Pordy, & Ecker, PA, a law firm that has been supporting local businesses for more than 20 years.
“Shulman Rogers has a long history of serving and supporting D.C. metro area people and businesses,” said David Pordy, Managing Shareholder of Shulman Rogers. “We believe it’s important to support the community, including those who work to improve the business environment. We applaud Jessica and Jennifer Hsu for the creation of an innovative and educational technology that will have a significant impact for local public schools and, in turn, students.”
Clairvoyant Technologies, Inc., founded by the Hsu sisters, develops interactive educational games to improve the performance of students in elementary schools. The goal is to create content that matches up with standard classroom curriculum to enhance the learning process.
The sisters are two of more than 40 women who entered the StartRight! Women’s Business Plan Competition, which is run by Rockville Economic Development. The ceremony took place at the Brava! Women’s Business Achievement Awards, which celebrates female business leaders who build companies with great relationships and dependable products.
Aside from supporting local businesses with this award sponsorship, Shulman Rogers’ employees also volunteer with charities and other organizations to help improve local schools and neighborhoods.
