On April 25, 2019, the Montgomery County Planning Board approved Foulger-Pratt’s development plans for Inventa Towers, the repurposed former Discovery Communications headquarters site in Silver Spring, Maryland. Todd Brown worked with Foulger-Pratt and its team of consultants to secure amendments to the project plan and site plan approvals originally obtained by Discovery. Todd also counseled Foulger-Pratt in 2018, providing land use due diligence for the $70 million site acquisition.
The Washington Business Journal recently selected the Inventa Towers’ acquisition for Honorable Mention as one of 2018’s Best Real Estate Deals. The approved development includes 554,000 square feet of commercial space, reconfigured public use spaces, and new and redesigned building elements. Todd was quite familiar with the site having represented Discovery to help obtain the original site and building entitlements in 2000-2001.
