The Atlanta federal judge who sent shock waves through the securities bar when she questioned the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s hiring of administrative judges may be little known on the national stage, but she has deep roots on the federal bench that go all the way back to the Founding Fathers.
“When a judge issues a well-reasoned opinion that rattles the foundation of a respected federal agency and grasps and addresses grave concerns of the respected securities bar, that judge definitely plants a flag and hits everyone’s radar,” Frenkel said.
