The Federal Acquisition Regulation Council (FAR) has created rules to implement the John McCain National Defense Authorization Act which may significantly impact your business. Specifically, FAR Regulation regarding the sale or use of telecommunications equipment and services from certain Chinese manufacturers.
These new rules may impact you even though you do not sell telecom products or services. Rather, the mere utilization by Federal contractors of cellular telephones, two-way radios or infrastructure from companies such has Huawei, ZTE, Hytera, Hangzhou Hikvision or Dahua Technology Company may be a violation of the rules.
You should conduct an audit of your systems and your employees to determine whether you utilize any equipment from these manufacturers and, if so, please contact us for information as to how to proceed.
