In her entertainment practice, Kandyce assists clients with the drafting and negotiation of various agreements including music producer agreements, talent agreements, artist agreements, releases, appearance agreements and licensing agreements.

Kandyce has a full understanding of the intellectual property implications in entertainment law and possesses significant experience in trademark clearance and trademark protection matters.  She prepares and manages material for Copyright and Trademark filings, provides trademark counseling, conducts clearance searches and prosecutes trademark applications.

Recognized for her experience in the music industry, Kandyce was selected to be an adjunct professor at the University of the District of Columbia where she teaches a coursed focused on the Business of Music.

Prior to joining Shulman Rogers, Kandyce was an Associate for Lita Rosario, PLLC.  While in law school, she served as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Josey-Herring in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, and worked as a Legal Extern for the US Patent and Trademark Office.
