Biography

Erin August is a seasoned real estate attorney at Shulman Rogers, offering clients over a decade of expertise in residential and commercial real estate matters throughout Maryland, Washington, DC and Virginia. Erin is highly regarded for her comprehensive knowledge of real estate transactions, from inception to settlement, ensuring her clients experience smooth and efficient processes.

Erin has extensive experience resolving title issues, including clouds on title, and is adept at navigating short sale and foreclosure transactions. Notably, she conducted the closing for a $40,000,000 commercial foreclosure in the District of Columbia. Clients value her proactive communication style and her unwavering commitment to keeping them informed at every stage of their matter. Her responsiveness and problem-solving skills are hallmarks of her practice.

In addition to her real estate practice, Erin handles commercial collections and landlord-tenant matters with a high success rate in achieving favorable settlements. Her efficiency and dedication result in exceptional outcomes for her clients. Erin’s ability to simplify complex legal scenarios into relatable and actionable insights fosters confidence and trust among her clients.

As a Pro Bono Settlement Conference Attorney for the District Court of Maryland, Erin serves as an impartial facilitator, assisting parties in reaching voluntary resolutions to disputes. This role reflects her dedication to resolving complex issues in a collaborative and constructive manner.

Prior to joining Shulman Rogers, Erin’s practice focused on real property litigation, including trustees’ sales of real property, creditors’ rights, title disputes, receiverships and landlord-tenant law. This foundation has provided her with a deep understanding of the challenges and nuances in real estate and related fields.

Erin earned her B.A. from the University of Maryland and her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Baltimore School of Law. She is admitted to practice in Maryland, Washington, DC, and Virginia.
