Patrick Dowling brings unique litigation experience to his work with the Landlord Tenant Group at Shulman Rogers. Clients benefit from his tremendous attention to detail and quick follow-up as he helps them bring their legal matters to successful closure.
Pat counsels national and regional commercial and multi-family residential property owners, management companies, lenders and brokerage firms confronting complex legal disputes common in Landlord/Tenant relationships. In addition to litigation and dispute resolution, he advises clients on compliance with fair housing and maintaining properties consistent with regulations for subsidized or low-income units.
Prior to joining Shulman Rogers, Pat was an Associate at a Montgomery County firm and provided counsel to credit union clients on a multitude of issues. He specialized in negotiating, litigating and resolving commercial and consumer debt disputes, among other related matters.
Pat earned his Bachelor of Science in Management from the University of Maryland, College Park, MD, and his Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina School of Law in Columbia, SC. During law school, he served as a judicial intern for the Honorable J. Michelle Childs in the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina. Pat is licensed to practice in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
