Claire Whiteman works with clients one-on-one to provide comprehensive estate planning tailored to meet their wealth preservation and/or charitable goals.  Estate planning can often be complex and emotionally charged – Claire’s clients appreciate her responsiveness, compassion and the sense of calm she maintains throughout the process.

Understanding that family dynamics and wealth may change over time, Claire is prepared to draft evolving plans that meet clients’ needs at all stages of life.  She has experience preparing Last Wills and Testaments, Revocable and Irrevocable Trusts, Financial Powers of Attorney and Health Care Powers of Attorney.

Claire also assists clients with all aspects of probate, estate administration and trust administration, ensuring personalized attention during a difficult time. She is diligent in the proper and timely filing of probate, tax and other applicable documents.

Claire earned her J.D. from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law and received her B.A. in Economics from the University of Maryland. Before attending law school, she worked in customer service for 7 years. During law school, Claire worked as a Trusts and Estates Legal Intern and as a Legal Extern for the US DOJ’s Tax Division, served on the Student Bar Association as the Vice President for Financial Affairs and participated in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA).
