If you are a Frontier Communications customer, please read:
Frontier Communications Corporation has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection which, with its bondholders’ support, seeks to reduce the company’s debt by $10 billion. In addition to the more than $700 million in cash in its possession, the debtor is seeking approval for debtor in possession financing in the additional amount of $460 million for which it already has lender commitments. Frontier believes that this liquidity, combined with the debtor’s cash flow, should suffice to meet Frontier’s operational and restructuring needs.
In addition to local and long-distance telephone service, Frontier offers broadband Internet, digital television service, and computer technical support to residential and business customers in 29 states in the United States. Frontier is the eighth largest provider of broadband internet in the United States with 3,735,000 subscribers.
