Shulman Rogers attorneys recognized as “Legal Elite”

December 7, 2010

POTOMAC, Md., Dec. 1, 2010 — Shulman Rogers today announced that Donald R. Rogers, Glenn C. Etelson and Gregory D. Grant have been selected by Washington SmartCEO readers as the area’s “Legal Elite” for their practice areas. All three, recognized as “go-to attorneys” are listed in the Legal Elite Readers Poll in the December edition of Washington SmartCEO magazine.

“At Shulman Rogers we like to think of ourselves as an integral part of our clients’ business –a partnership in addition to an attorney/client relationship,” said David Pordy, managing shareholder of Shulman Rogers. “Don, Glenn and Greg exemplify the commitment of our attorneys to understand the unique needs of our clients. We are honored to see them recognized by their peers, clients and area businesses for their exemplary work.”

Donald R. Rogers is a senior shareholder at Shulman Rogers and primarily focuses on mergers and acquisitions, tax and business planning.  For nearly 40 years, Rogers has worked with countless startup and early-stage business enterprises, to assist them in strategic and growth objectives. In addition, he has assisted clients in obtaining required resources such as seed or venture capital and strategic alliances, developed various stock option plans for key employees and assisted clients in implementing succession plans for transition to the next generation of owners.

Glenn C. Etelson, member of the Shulman Rogers’ Board of Directors, focuses on commercial litigation matters including; complex business, corporate, real estate and construction actions, as well as fiduciary, probate and estate disputes.  In addition, Etelson was appointed by the governor of the State of Maryland to serve on a commission to rewrite the lease litigation law of the State of Maryland. He was also selected by the chief administrative judge for the Circuit Court of Montgomery County to act as a mediator for the court.

Gregory D. Grant is the co-chair of Shulman Rogers’ Business Litigation and Employment Litigation Practice Groups. For more than 20 years, Grant has represented all types of business entities, executives (including officers and directors) and other individuals, in all forms of business and employment-related disputes – as well as in dispute avoidance.  Grant’s primary focus is on the protection of his client’s proprietary interests and legal rights both in their commercial business dealings and, more often, in dealing with employees, officers, directors, independent contractors, broker-dealers and joint venture partners.
