Shulman Rogers Welcomes Bankruptcy Attorney Bradley J. Swallow to Baltimore Office
Shulman Rogers is pleased to announce that Bradley J. Swallow has joined the Firm as a Shareholder in the Bankruptcy, Restructuring and Creditors’ Rights practice, based in the Baltimore office.
Brad brings more than three decades of experience representing clients at the intersection of bankruptcy, insolvency, commercial litigation, and workouts. Admitted to the Virginia Bar in 1990 and the Maryland Bar in 1997, he represents banks and financial institutions in commercial collection litigation, bankruptcy proceedings, and workout negotiations, as well as commercial debtors, trustees, landlords, and other parties in complex Chapter 11 cases. His work spans structuring bankruptcy sales, negotiating plans of reorganization, and representing parties in adversary proceedings across federal bankruptcy courts and state and federal courts throughout Maryland and Virginia.
“We are very pleased to welcome Brad to Shulman Rogers,” said Sam Spiritos, Managing Shareholder of Shulman Rogers. “Brad’s depth in bankruptcy and restructuring law, combined with the relationships he has built across the Maryland legal community, makes him exactly the kind of attorney our Baltimore clients will benefit from.”
Brad is an active leader in the Maryland bankruptcy community. He currently serves as President-Elect of the Maryland Bankruptcy Bar Association and has served on judicial selection committees in connection with recent Maryland Bankruptcy Court vacancies. He has also participated as both a faculty member and a member of the Planning Committee for the annual BBA Spring Break Retreat.
Brad earned his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School, where he served as a Staff Editor of the Vanderbilt Law Review. He is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the United States District and Bankruptcy Courts for the Districts of Maryland and Virginia.
“I’m excited to join Shulman Rogers and be part of such a talented and collaborative team,” said Brad. “The firm’s commitment to practical, client-focused legal counsel aligns with how I approach every matter, and I look forward to contributing to the continued growth of the Baltimore office.”
Shulman Rogers has been expanding its Baltimore presence since 2024, building a team of attorneys deeply rooted in the community and invested in outcomes that matter to clients. Brad’s addition further strengthens the firm’s business law capabilities in the region.
