Plaintiff’s Roundtable

September 29, 2015

      Plaintiff’s Roundtable:

Working With The State’s Attorney’s Office in Your Personal Injury Cases: A Discussion with John McCarthy and Mark Anderson

Handling a personal injury case which involves criminal charges against the adverse party can be confusing, complicated and frustrating for your client.

Join us and hear Montgomery County State’s Attorney John McCarthy and Assistant State’s Attorney Mark Anderson speak about the interplay between the State’s Attorney and attorneys handling the civil claims of citizens injured or impacted by DWI and vehicular manslaughter cases.  Moderated by Michael Nakamura of Shulman Rogers, discussion points will include:

      • The State’s Attorney’s Office:  policies and protocols

      • Working cooperatively in parallel civil and criminal investigations

      • What the State’s Attorney’s Office can and can’t do for your client

      • What you can do to assist the State’s Attorney’s Office

      • Access to accident reconstruction materials, such as photos, video, witness statements

      • Access to Defendant information during a pending criminal case or investigation

      • Seeking restitution via the criminal case

There will also be a question and answer period after the program.
