Shulman Rogers Support for SVOG Applicants

August 24, 2021

Throughout the coronavirus pandemic, the Small Business Lending Group at Shulman Rogers has been actively supporting clients with their applications for relief funding from the SBA. From the Paycheck Protection Program to the COVID-19 EIDL to the Restaurant Revitalization Fund to the Shuttered Venues Grant Fund (SVOG), we have become a trusted resource for clients throughout the country.

Most recently working with venue operators, the Shulman Rogers team, led by Shareholder, Paul O’Reilly, has secured nearly $100M of SVOG funding to date. We continue to apply our formula for success to provide guidance and have been assisting new clients with appeals or reconsideration for funding, including producers of several Broadway shows.

The SBA will continue to deliver economic aid to help venues recover through the supplemental awards program. We anticipate that the SBA  will soon open its portals to those invited to apply for supplemental funding.  This will be critical for all applicants, as even a supplemental award of $0 should give rise to a six (6) month extension of the date by which to expend. This is a significant change in policy; however, you must apply for and be approved for a SVOG Supplemental Grant.

The SBA recently issued this set of  FAQs regarding Post-Application Guidance for SVOG Applicants.

If you have questions about your SVOG application, please contact Paul O’Reilly at Shulman Rogers.
