NLRB POSTER RULE POSTPONED AGAIN
The National Labor Relations Board (“NLRB”) has postponed the effective date of its employee rights notice-posting rule (see our earlier Employment Law Alert) from January 31, 2012 until April 30, 2012. As with an earlier postponement of the rule, this postponement was made due to ongoing litigation challenging the rule. It still remains to be seen whether the litigation will further delay implementation of the rule, uphold the rule or overturn it. Nonetheless, pending any new developments, employers should be prepared to comply with the rule when it is now scheduled to go into effect on April 30, 2012.
