Eric Kurtz provides clients with the confidence that they are receiving efficient and expert counsel in connection with their strategic business transactions. He brings a high level of legal acumen and sound business thinking to each transaction. Eric’s practical advice is based on his more than 20 years of corporate law experience, as in-house counsel to Fortune 500 companies and with international law firms.

As a member of the Business and Financial Services Department, Eric structures, drafts and negotiates transaction documents for acquisitions and dispositions of businesses and joint ventures, including stock purchase, asset purchase, operating, escrow and stockholder agreements.  He works collaboratively with clients to manage their transactions from term sheet to closing and provides legal advice on potential risks that is grounded in business practicality.

Eric is a graduate of Brandeis University and Harvard Law School, and is a member of the Maryland and New York bars.
