Montgomery County, Maryland’s only distillery, Twin Valley Distillers, recently celebrated their grand re-opening and relocation to 1029 East Gude Drive in Rockville. After experiencing consecutive years of tremendous growth, business owner, Edgardo Zuñiga has expanded his operations to a 2400 square foot space, marking the occasion with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday November 8th and festivities throughout the weekend.
Twin Valley distills a variety of spirits including Whisky, Vodka, Rum, Liqueurs and seasonal specialties. Sourcing all ingredients from local farmers, Zuñiga is committed to supporting the local economy and maintaining a “farm-to-table” process. Guests of the distillery can look forward to special events like “Paint and Sip” and “Blues and Bourbon” parties featuring the music of local artists and food from a variety of area food trucks.
Zuñiga welcomed a large group of special friends and elected officials for the ribbon cutting ceremony, including Mayor Bridget Newton of Rockville, Montgomery County Council representatives Hans Riemer and Evan Glass and representatives from the offices of Senator Chris Van Hollen and Comptroller Peter Franchot.
Twin Valley Distillers’ legal team from Shulman Rogers, Eric Von Vorys and Mike Nakamura, have enjoyed supporting Zuñiga as his business has grown. “It has been a pleasure working alongside Edgardo as he moves from one success to another. In addition to delivering top notch spirits, he creates a warm and inviting space for people to relax, enjoy and learn about his distilling process,” said Von Vorys.
Twin Valley Distillers is open 7 days a week, from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. For directions and more information about the distillery, visit: https://www.facebook.com/TwinValleyDistillers/.
