FCC Issues $25,000 Fine For Rooftop RF Installation
While most entities that own transmission towers are aware of their responsibilities to limit human exposure to radiofrequency (RF) emissions, building owners that lease rooftop space to wireless companies must also be aware of the FCC rules to limit RF emission exposure.
Recently, the FCC issued a fine of $25,000 for failure to properly limit human exposure, restrict access and provide proper signage for a wireless system on top of an office building in Phoenix, Arizona. The FCC has issued similar fines in the past.
