Telecommunications Update – Department Of Justice Body-Worn Camera Policy and Implementation Program Grants

December 16, 2016

Department of Justice Body-Worn Camera Policy and
Implementation Program Grants

The Department of Justice is accepting Grant Applications from State, Cities and Counties for grants related to Body-Worn Camera Policy and Implementation Programs.  There is up to $17M available, with no one municipality getting more than $1M.  Applications are due February 16, 2017.

If your municipality is interested in applying, our staff here at Shulman Rogers can assist you in writing the application.  Equally importantly, Shulman Rogers can assist you in writing those policies for which the grants are intended.  You’re already aware of our knowledge and work in wireless, but you may not know our work in data privacy (and storage), as well as our criminal law work (featuring former prosecutors).

Please let us know if we can assist you in writing an application for this important work that will occur in 2017, or whether we can assist you now in any Body-Worn Camera work in which you are already involved.
