Historian Anthony Cohen will present a pictorial tracing of the legal and social impact of slavery in Montgomery County, followed by and open panel discussion with academic and community leaders. The moderator will be Angela Hart-Edwards, Esq. from Shulman Rogers. The program will also feature Edward Hailes, Esq., former general counsel of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund and Christopher Hailey, Alex Hailey’s nephew, and research director of the History of Slavery in Maryland.
