Bekah Paradis is an associate in the Bankruptcy, Restructuring, and Creditors’ Rights Practice at Shulman Rogers. She represents clients in a wide range of creditors’ rights and insolvency matters, and advises them through every stage of distressed loan and asset resolution. Her practice includes bankruptcy litigation, title litigation, civil litigation, out-of-court restructurings, debt-sale transactions, foreclosure, and loan enforcement matters.
Bekah earned her B.A. in Management from the University of Lynchburg and her J.D. and Business Law Certificate from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. She received the William P. Cunningham Award for exceptional achievement and service, and the Paul Cordish Writing Award for her article on Business Interruption Insurance post-COVID. In law school, she served as a student attorney in the Consumer Bankruptcy Clinic, a Notes and Comments Editor for the Journal of Business and Technology Law, and competed on the Maryland Law Alternative Dispute Resolution team.
Bekah co-authored an article with then-Shulman Rogers Bankruptcy Chair Michael Lichtenstein: ‘Unrecorded Deeds of Trust: Take Them Out of Your Pocket Before They Burn a Hole,’ published in The Banking Law Journal in February 2023.
