Nick Gallagher’s practice focuses primarily on litigation of residential and commercial landlord-tenant cases throughout Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia.  With almost thirty years of courtroom experience, Nick has appeared in thousands of such cases, providing his clients with superior and knowledgeable representation.  He prides himself on putting his clients at ease in what can be an intimidating courtroom setting.

In addition to his litigation successes, Nick has negotiated and drafted thousands of commercial leases and associated documents, including amendments, letters of credit, SNDAs, assignments, subleases and more.  Representing both landlords and tenants, his commercial leasing work ranges from the negotiation of leases for large office and retail spaces to the drafting of simple amendments for smaller spaces. Nick tends to take a reasonable, non-combative approach to negotiating lease documents, effectively saving his clients time and money.

Having grown up in Bethesda and currently residing in Alexandria, Nick has lived in the Maryland-Northern Virginia area for almost 55 years.  He graduated from the University of Maryland in College Park, magna cum laude, in 1985 and from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, with honors, in 1991.  Nick also earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business in 1991 as part of a joint program with the law school.
