Timothy Dugan elected President of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick of Washington, D.C.

On Wednesday, June 8, 2016, Tim Dugan, Co-Chair of the Land Use and Zoning Practice Group at Shulman Rogers, was elected President of the Society of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick of Washington, D.C. The Society’s first chapter was established in Philadelphia on March 17, 1771. Its earliest members included Revolutionary War heroes. General George Washington was made an honorary member on December 18, 1781.
The Washington, D.C. Chapter was established in 1928. In addition to promoting fellowship among people of Irish descent and among all people, the Society maintains a foundation that funds various purposes such as Irish studies and travel expenses to the United States for students from the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
