Shulman Rogers Welcomes New Associates

POTOMAC, MD – (April 22, 2021) — Shulman Rogers is pleased to announce the addition of four talented associates.  Erin August joined the Real Estate Settlements Practice, Brittani Gordon is the newest member of the Bankruptcy, Restructuring and Creditors’ Rights Practice, Tyler Winters augments the already-strong Business and Financial Services Department and Colin Lynch is a welcome addition to the Commercial Real Estate Team.  Of the recent hires, Managing Shareholder Sam Spiritos says, “We are delighted to welcome these talented attorneys to the Firm.  Their experience and legal acumen will provide tremendous value for our clients.”

Erin August focuses on a wide range of commercial and residential real estate matters throughout Maryland, Washington, DC and Virginia. With more than a decade of experience handling settlements, she has extensive knowledge of how the transaction works from start to finish. Erin skillfully resolves clouds on title with efficiency, and has vast experience in short sale and foreclosure transactions.   

Brittani Gordon brings a diverse background in bankruptcy, with experience in consumer, commercial and complex Chapter 11 proceedings.  She represents debtors, creditors, trustees and landlords in all aspects of the Firm’s bankruptcy practice.  Before joining Shulman Rogers, Brittani served as a law clerk to several of the judges of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Maryland, where she took the lead with respect to numerous substantive and procedural issues and related adversary matters.  

Tyler Winters concentrates his practice on advising private equity, growth equity and venture capital funds and their portfolio companies on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, financings and other general corporate matters.  He also advises businesses in all stages of growth, from entity planning and formation to corporate governance, financing and exit strategies.  Tyler was previously an associate in the DC office of Goodwin Procter, as well as with an international firm in Southern California.

Colin Lynch represents and advises institutional property owners, entrepreneurial investors and developers in all aspects of acquisition, financing, development and leasing, locally and throughout the United States. He advises clients on various types of commercial real property, including commercial, mixed-use, office buildings, retail/shopping centers, automotive dealerships, hotels and resorts, and large-scale/multi-unit residential apartment properties.
