Shulman Rogers Obtains Extension Waiver For L.A. County Public Safety Radio System

Shulman Rogers filed a construction extension request for the Los Angeles County two-way public safety radio system known as LA-RICS. The County needed additional time to complete construction of the system, a project for which more than $50 million has already been spent.
Alan Tilles, Chairman of the Firm’s Technology, Media and Telecommunications Department, said “In 2013, Shulman Rogers negotiated a deal with Sprint which provided that the County would receive a new $20 million 800 MHz radio system at no cost to the taxpayer,” he said. “The Firm is thrilled to again have an opportunity to assist the County in its provision of wireless communications for the safety of the County’s workers and citizens.”
