Shulman Rogers litigators win $2.88 million jury verdict for Bethesda-based hotel management company

July 26, 2011

Jeremy W. Schulman led a team of Shulman Rogers litigators in a jury trial that concluded on July 20 with a $2,880,801 award for the firm’s client Hospitality Partners, LLC, a hotel management company based in Bethesda, Maryland.  The jury found that Hospitality Partners’ 10-year management agreement with the owner of the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor was wrongfully terminated after just eight months, and they awarded Hospitality Partners all of its lost profits over the remaining term of the agreement.  The jury also imposed personal liability of $960,267 against one of the principals of the hotel’s ownership company who orchestrated the termination.  The Shulman Rogers team consisted of Mr. Schulman, Alexander Vincent, Koushik Bhattacharya, and Michele Bronstein.
