Navigating these Troubled Times of COVID-19 – WE CAN HELP

March 23, 2020

A message from Michael Lichtenstein, Chair, Bankruptcy, Restructuring and Creditors’ Rights Group

There are dire health and economic consequences resulting from the COVID-19 virus. Exacerbated by state wide mandated closures, many small businesses are suffering and being forced to close or furlough employees. We are all painfully aware of the toll this crisis is taking on individuals, and businesses are experiencing varying degrees of financial difficulties as well. Unfortunately, the crisis has already led to shutdowns, lay-offs and closings.

While we cannot provide financial relief, our Bankruptcy, Restructuring and Creditors Rights group can help. Our group is already working with existing clients, enlisting the assistance of attorneys in other practice areas such as employment, real estate, tax and business services.

In these uncharted waters, we can advise businesses, lenders, creditors, landlords and others about how to weather the storm. While the courts are closed physically, we continue to file pleadings and to be in communication with court personnel if necessary. To keep everyone safe, we are working remotely, but our technology platform allows us to provide clients with the same level of service and responsiveness as always.
