August 14, 2015

David Robbins, chair of the firm’s Government Contracts & Grants practice, was quoted in the August 14, 205 Law360 article, “Gov’t Contracts Cases To Watch In The 2nd Half Of 2015.”

Regarding the Kingdomware Supreme Court case: “The decision will be useful in that it will once and for all clarify how to deal with [dueling contracting preference programs] — not just in this case, but also as a guide for writing perhaps more precise regulations,” he said.

Regarding the IRD decision: “This case will stand for the proposition that the government needs to be fair in its application of its extraordinary power to exclude contractors … [this] catchall exclusion has historically been extraordinarily difficult to challenge in court,” Robbins said.
