Sarah Cline gets deals done. She is the person other attorneys count on to untangle the most complex real estate transactions, calmly and patiently finding solutions to problems that seemed unsolvable.

A transactional attorney with significant experience in both commercial and residential real estate, Sarah uses her litigation background to anticipate potential problems in a real estate transaction and to address them before they cause undue delay or expense. Clients hire Sarah again and again because they know her practical advice and attentive, holistic approach ensure smooth, efficient transactions.

While her legal practice encompasses a broad range of real estate related areas, Sarah focuses her practice on the representation of buyers, sellers and lenders in the acquisition, sale and financing of real estate.

A recent client summed up her appreciation for Sarah’s hard work:

I am an attorney myself. We used Sarahs services for two real estate transactions. Sarah is incredibly sharp, very analytical and deadline-oriented. When you retain Sarah . . . you get the highest level of commitment. For example, Sarah personally delivered documents very late at night to make sure that we fully complied with the terms of the contract. I am, to say the least, truly impressed with Sarah.”

Sarah manages the real estate needs of solar energy companies with development projects throughout Maryland and Virginia. She guides large-scale projects, assisting with pre-acquisition, site control, underwriting and closings. Sarah also secures needed endorsements for solar clients through the firm’s in-house title insurance agency, including the ALTA 36 Series (Energy Project) Endorsements.

A recognized leader in the national and local legal communities, Sarah is frequently invited to speak at real estate industry events and legal conferences. She serves as Chair of The American Bar Association’s Section of Real Property, Trust and Estate Law‘s Single Family Residential Committee and as Vice-Chair of the Joint Law Practice Management Group. Sarah also serves as Chair of the Real Property Section of the Maryland State Bar Association.

In 2014 she was inducted as a Fellow of the Maryland Bar Foundation in recognition of her “outstanding dedication and contribution to maintaining the honor and integrity of the legal profession, the improvement and facilitation of justice, the work of the organized Bar of Maryland and civic leadership” – an honor given to only 2.5% of Maryland State Bar Association members, and she currently serves as Chair of the Fellows. From 2010 to 2015, Sarah served as the Coordinator of the Wills for Heroes Program in Maryland, which provides free Wills, Living Wills, Health Care and Financial Powers of Attorney to first responders throughout the state. She continues to volunteer with the program regularly, and in 2014, was awarded the Maryland Pro Bono Service Alex Fee Memorial Award for her work with the Wills for Heroes program. As a testament to her cumulative achievements, The Daily Record named Sarah to the 2019 Leadership in Law listing, recognizing Maryland lawyers with outstanding dedication to their occupation and to their communities, and the 2016 Leading Women listing, recognizing women who are 40 or younger for the tremendous accomplishments they have made so far in their career. Sarah is a life-long animal lover and serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Days End Farm Horse Rescue.
