Joanna Foronda provides legal representation in a wide range of commercial and residential real estate matters. She helps clients protect their investments by drafting and negotiating sound contracts and lending a keen eye to survey and title review, organizational documentation and closing/post-closing procedures. In the litigation arena, Joanna focuses on contract disputes and other disagreements between parties. She develops strong legal positions and leverages them to resolve disputes early in the litigation process. Clients frequently comment that she takes the time to explain complex legal issues in a calm yet confident way, putting them at ease.
Before joining Shulman Rogers, Joanna served as an Associate Attorney and Substitute Trustee, focusing her practice on foreclosure and real property matters. Joanna earned her B.A. from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and her J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law. She is licensed to practice in Maryland.
In her free time, Joanna is very active in her church community as a leader and volunteer. She also taught English as a second language before law school. Joanna is fluent in Spanish and adept at public speaking and organizing large events.
