Increased employment terminations coupled with the continuing, limited prospects for re-employment have created the “perfect storm” – and a potential legal minefield for employers. Now, more than ever, employee discipline up to and including termination is being scrutinized and aggressively challenged. Consequently, businesses must review and, when warranted, revise both their policies and practices regarding employee discipline and termination.
