David Pordy Receives BAMC Professionalism Award
Potomac, MD (May 19, 2016) – David Pordy recently received the 2016 “Professionalism Award” from the Bar Association of Montgomery County (BAMC) in recognition of his many years of service and accomplishments in the legal profession. The highest award given by BAMC, it is given annually to the BAMC member who has made a significant contribution to the altruistic goals of the profession, whose professional courtesy and integrity are without question—and who has constantly upheld the highest standards.
Mr. Pordy has been named BAMC Chairperson of the Year more than fifteen times, and received the President's Outstanding Service Award on multiple occasions, most recently in 2013 in recognition of his efforts on behalf of the Strategic Planning Committee.
Mr. Pordy is a member of the Board of Directors of the Montgomery County Bar Foundation and was named the 2012 Honorary Life Bar Leader. He also served as chair of the Bar Association of Montgomery County’s Section of Law Firm Economics for nineteen years.
