Melissa G. Bernstein's practice focuses on acquisition, financing, development and leasing of real property, commercial lending and representation of hotel owners and management companies.  She has successfully structured, negotiated, documented and closed all types of real estate transactions, including large mixed-use projects, retail projects, shopping centers, multi-story office buildings, multi-family residential complexes, and hotel and recreational complexes.

Ms. Bernstein's leasing practice focuses on office and retail leasing, both on behalf of landlords and tenants.  Her financing practice consists of commercial loan transactions, particularly acquisitions and development financing, asset based lending, construction and permanent loans, and retail, office and hotel development and financing.  Her hospitality practice includes all phases of the hospitality business, from strategic planning, due diligence, structuring, negotiating and final consumation to implementation and renegotiation, on behalf of owners, developers, managers and franchisees.

Ms. Bernstein is Co-Chair of the Firm’s Government Relations and Resources practice group and assists with local government lobbying efforts and legislative representation, including strategy formulation, procurement, drafting of legislation and appearance before departments and committees.
