Michael V. Nakamura is an experienced and compassionate litigator committed to achieving justice for his clients, primarily those who have suffered devastating injuries as the result of the negligence of others. A Washington, D.C. native and long-time partner in the Firm, he has been an attorney with Shulman Rogers since 1991.
Mr. Nakamura’s practice includes personal injury, wrongful death, and medical malpractice, all on behalf of victims and their families. He has particular experience in catastrophic motor vehicle accidents, wrongful death cases of all kinds and brain-damaged baby cases. Mike has significant jury trial and bench trial experience, and is skilled in mediation and negotiated settlements. In addition, his past experience as a judicial law clerk and as an attorney encompasses a wide range of legal areas which serve him well in the evaluation of legal issues, and include insurance coverage disputes, automobile dealer-manufacturer issues, and other business litigation. An avid speaker, Mike has been deeply involved in the premier organizations in the field, including the American Association of Justice, Maryland Association of Justice and the Trial Lawyers Association for the District of Columbia, and prefers to participate in education-related committees of these organizations, which enhances his ability to practice. He has served as a Moderator or Speaker at countless seminars for almost two decades, and appeared on several local television programs on such personal injury topics as dog bite liability, gun liability and premises liability.
