Ms. Hsu is a Shareholder and practices in the Firm's Commercial Litigation and Employment and Labor Law departments.  Her practice has covered a wide range of substantive areas, such as bankruptcy, insurance, intellectual property, antitrust, trade practices, securities, real estate, employment, and exempt organizations.  She has represented and counseled Fortune 500 companies, multinational corporations, nonprofits and small businesses in a variety of disputes, including complex multiparty proceedings, multidistrict litigation and class actions.  Ms. Hsu has appeared in federal and state courts locally and throughout the United States.

Her recent matters include representing entities and individuals in the recovery of commissions for services rendered; handling wrongful termination disputes on behalf of both employers and employees; and litigating various contractual disputes between business partners, including through appeal.  Ms. Hsu is also a member of the Firm’s corporate diversity counseling practice and has spoken on numerous occasions about workplace diversity.

Prior to joining Shulman Rogers, Ms. Hsu was Of Counsel at Washington, D.C. firm Gilbert Heintz & Randolph, LLP, where she specialized in commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution, with an emphasis on complex, multiparty insurance disputes.  As part of her practice, she wrote and spoke on risk management and litigation avoidance strategies.  Earlier in her legal career, Ms. Hsu was a commercial litigator with the Washington, D.C. office of Weil, Gotshal & Manges, LLP, where she was a member of the Complex Commercial Litigation and Bankruptcy Litigation practice groups. 

Ms. Hsu graduated from the Georgetown University Law Center, where she was Lead Articles Editor for The Tax Lawyer, an ABA publication.  She earned her bachelor's degree in government cum laude from Harvard-Radcliffe Colleges.  Ms. Hsu is very active in legal and civic activities in the Washington, D.C. area and beyond.  Among many other responsibilities, she is a co-founder and Board of Directors member for Turning the Page, a Washington, D.C. nonprofit working to improve educational opportunities for D.C. public school students.  In 2008, she was elected to a three-year term on the Board of Directors of the Women's Bar Association of Washington, D.C. and is member of the Governance Committee.  She is also a member of the President’s Advisory Council for the National Wildlife Federation.
