Medical Malpractice Cases - Recent Successes

A settlement of $1.7 million resulted from hospital negligence which caused paraplegia.  The emergency room failed to diagnose a spinal abscess resulting in the patient’s paralysis.  Part of the settlement was structured, which resulted in another million dollars being paid out over the client’s lifetime.

On behalf of our clients, we recently obtained a $2.5 million settlement in a medical malpractice case which involved a 14-year-old boy who suffered devastating consequences from surgery. Part of the settlement was structured and will pay as much as 4.8 million dollars over the child's lifetime.

We settled a medical malpractice case on behalf of one of our clients for $500,000 after a 43-year-old woman was allowed to bleed to death while in the hospital. The doctors failed to find the cause of the bleeding and gave her medication to thin her blood.

In a wrongful death case of an elderly woman, we obtained a settlement of $325,000 for her husband. The health care provider failed to diagnose his wife's heart attack.

A medical malpractice case involving a shoulder injury to a newborn was settled for $240,000. Part of the settlement proceeds were channeled into a structured settlement, resulting in a guaranteed payment in excess of $650,000.

In a local malpractice case, a psychiatric hospital gave a patient a drug which he was allergic to and he died. Our attorneys obtained a settlement of $423,000.

A medical malpractice case involving the wrongful death of a patient was settled for $750,000. The patient died after a blood clot was not treated correctly by the hospital.

An elderly dialysis patient bled to death after the dialysis catheter became dislodged. This medical negligence resulted in a settlement of $275,000.

An 80-year-old man bled to death in the hospital following a heart catheterization procedure. We recovered $275,000 his widow.
