• On April 2, 2008, Michael Lichtenstein, Mort Faller and Steve Metz, shareholders in the Bankruptcy/Creditors' Rights Group at Shulman Rogers, filed a Chapter 11 proceeding for Joanne's Bed & Back Stores.
• Joanne's owned and operated 16 retail specialty furniture and mattress stores in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan region.
• The Bankruptcy Court has authorized Joanne's to sell substantially all of its assets at an auction to be conducted on May 8, 2008 at Shulman Rogers' office
• The purchase agreement, subject to higher and better offers, requires the purchaser to fulfill pre-petition orders for which customers provided deposits.
