Michelle R. Curtis is a shareholder in the Firm's Commercial Real Estate Group, specializing in real estate transactions, particularly acquisitions (including builder/developer acquisitions). In addition, she works on real estate, development, construction, homeowners association documents and accounts receivable financing transactions. Ms. Curtis' practice also involves retail, office and industrial leasing for both landlords and tenants, commercial loan transactions, particularly acquisitions and development financings, asset based lending, health care financings, construction and permanent loans, retail, office and hotel development and financing and workouts.

Prior to joining Shulman Rogers, Ms. Curtis worked in a Montgomery County, Maryland based law firm, where she gained litigation experience representing debtors in consumer bankruptcy cases. She also worked in a general practice law firm in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. During law school, Ms. Curtis interned for the Honorable Rosalyn B. Bell where, among other things, she assisted Judge Bell in the drafting of the 1996 supplement to the Maryland Civil Jury Instructions and Commentary.

Ms. Curtis has been an editor of the Commercial Leasing Law & Strategy newsletter since 2001. She is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, Section of Real Property, Planning & Zoning.
