Jeannie E. Cho, a Shareholder in the Commercial Litigation Department, concentrates her practice on White Collar Criminal Defense, representing individuals and entities before the state and federal courts in MD and DC. Ms. Cho represents clients who are charged, or who are pending investigation, in a wide variety of felony and misdemeanor matters. Capitalizing upon a decade of experience gained preparing and trying countless cases as a prosecutor, Ms. Cho zealously advocates the simplest to the most complex litigation matters.
Prior to joining Shulman Rogers, Ms. Cho served as an
Assistant State 's Attorney for
Montgomery County, Maryland, and prior thereto, served in the same capacity in
Howard County, Maryland. During her tenure there, Ms. Cho tried countless criminal cases before judges and juries. From simple thefts and drunk driving cases to complex, multi-defendant death penalty eligible murder cases, Ms. Cho has prosecuted hundreds of cases throughout her career. She has gained experience in every division of the State Attorney's Offices, including the District Court of Maryland Misdemeanor Unit, Juvenile Court, Family Violence Unit, and Felony Unit. Prior to her departure from the State's Attorney Office, Ms. Cho was assigned to the Economic Crimes Unit which handled a variety of white collar crimes dealing with economic loss. These crimes include violations of fiduciary responsibility, misappropriation of funds, financial exploitation of vulnerable persons, embezzlements, criminal attorney misconduct, insurance fraud, worker's compensation fraud, identity theft, and computer crimes. She also handled special prosecutions which involved misconduct in office by public officials and police misconduct. Ms. Cho is co-chair of the Criminal Law Section of the Bar Association of Montgomery County, Maryland and a member of the Executive Committee.
