William F. Gibson II practices in the Firm's Commercial Litigation department, where he represents and advises national and local homebuilders and land developers in civil litigation, real estate, and dispute avoidance matters. During the course of his career, which has spanned over a decade, Mr. Gibson has been involved in many different types of builder and construction related issues, including cases involving contract compliance/breach, mechanic's lien, delay, defect, EIFS (synthetic stucco), mold, fraud and consumer protection. In addition to his client counseling and representation, Mr. Gibson was a contributing editor for the 2001 and 2002 updates to Chapter 2, "Bidding, Bid Errors and Relief from Bids" of Construction Law, was a co-author of written materials for "Solving Water Intrusion and Mold Problems", seminars given on mold claim issues in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia, and has volunteered his time as a conciliator for the Fairfax County Circuit Court.
After a brief stint as an attorney at a small firm in New York City, Mr. Gibson returned to the D.C. area and worked for both large and small local firms, practicing in the areas of general, commercial and construction litigation before joining Shulman Rogers in 2006.
