Mr. Nakamura's litigation practice consists of wrongful death, personal injury, medical malpractice and general liability litigation. In 1995, as co-counsel for the plaintiff, he tried a premises liability/catastrophic injury case which resulted in a jury verdict in excess of $1.7 million. He also handles litigation for a variety of corporate clients, including automobile dealerships, computer information systems corporations and a wireless communications company.
Mr. Nakamura is Chairman of the Firm's Contingent Litigation Department. An avid speaker, he has addressed the Trial Lawyer's Association for the District of Columbia, the Bar Association of Montgomery County, Maryland, and the Asian-Pacific American Bar Association. He served as Co-Chair for the Personal Injury Section of the Bar Association of Montgomery County, Maryland for ten years. Mr. Nakamura is a member of the Education Committee for the Trial Lawyer's Association for the District of Columbia. He is also a member of the Judicial Selections Committee for the Bar Association of Montgomery County, Maryland, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the Maryland Trial Lawyer's Association.
